Rummy Nose Tetra

The rummy nose tetra is a beautiful medium sized tetra that is perfect for a community aquarium. They have silver or beige body's with a brilliant red patch on their nose's. Their tails have various black and white markings. They should be kept in shoals in a medium sized planted aquarium. They are useful fish in planted aquariums because the red patch on their nose's will fade if the water conditions deteriorate. They are quite difficult to breed in the home aquarium but it can be done.
