Bumblebee Goby

(Brachygobius Xanthozona)

Picture
The Bumblebee goby is a great little fish for small brackish water aquariums. They have yellow body's with broad black bands running vertically down them making them look rather like bumble bees - hence the name. Males are more colourful and are slimmer than females. They will spend most of their time sitting on the substrate of the aquarium and should be kept with other similarly sized fish. They can be bred in the home aquarium and the eggs will be hidden under a rock and guarded by the male until they hatch.
