Dwarf Cichlids

Ram
These are some of the smaller and more colourful cichlids in the aquarium trade. Most dwarf cichlids never get over 10cm in the home aquarium, meaning that you don't need a huge aquarium to house them as you might need with some other cichlids. They can be quite territorial though so plenty of hiding places and some dense vegitation are a must for their aqaurium. They may breed in good conditions but they should be moved to a seperate tank to raise the fry because, otherwise, they will harass the other fish in the aquarium, sometimes to death.
