Danios
Danios are excellent community fish that stay quite small and so are suited to small to medium sized aquariums. They are usually quite colourful and won't eat vegetation and so are very sutible for planted aquariums. They do however need plenty of space to swim as they are very active and almost never stop swimming. They are also very hardy and make excellent starter fish in a beginners aquarium. They will accept most prepared foods but care must be taken not to overfeed them as they will keep eating even after they are full. They can also be bred in the aquarium with relative ease and they are mostly egg scatterers. Click on a category below to begin.
