Golden Nugget Pleco

The Golden pleco is another popular and sought after pleco along with plecos such as the zebra pleco. This fish is more of a typical sized pleco than the zebra pleco however, growing fairly large. It can be identified by it's dark body with golden spots spreading across it's sides, fins and even it's mouth. Males have broader heads when viewed from above. They may spawn in caves. They are normally kept singly in a lage aquarium wuth good filtration and other medium sized fish. They can get very expensive, especially the larger specimins.
