(Melanotaenia Boesemani)

Picture
The boesemans's rainbowfish is a medium sized rainbowfish that does well in a community aquarium with other similar sized fish. It's body is blue at the front and yellow or orange at the back. Males have brighter colours than females and have larger dorsal fins. They do best in a group and need plenty of swimming space along with some vegetation. They can be bred in a seperate tank and will typically lay 100-200 eggs.
