Three Lined Corydoras

(Corydoras Trilineatus)

Picture
These amazingly coloured corydoras are one of the smaller species in the family. Their patterns are variable and they may easily be confused with Corydoras Julii, the latter however being much more expensive. They have beige body's with black spotty paterning and a dark blotch on the dorsal fin. Males generally have a larger and more solidly coloured blotch on their dorsal fins. They sometimes appear to have three dark lines at the back of their body's where the spots have fused together - hence the name.
