Barbs
Barbs are mostly fairly small but there are a few large species. Most are also good community fish but some have an unexplained habit of nipping the fins of long finned fish. They like planted aquariums but again, some may eat plants but these are mainly the larger ones. Most are very colourful and it is no wonder they are some of the most popular fish in the aquarium trade. They can be bred in a seperate tank and most species are egg scatterers.
