Zebra Danio

Zebra danios are an excellent hardy starter fish for a new aquarium. Their bodys are covered in alternating blue and white stripes. They should be kept in groups of at least five and when kept in large groups will put on a spectacular display. They will do best in a planted community aquarium with other small community fish. The white stripes on male fish will take on a golden hue while in spawning condition. They can be spawned with relative ease in a small aquarium with a layer of marbles on the bottom to protect the eggs.
