Peppered Corydoras

(Corydoras Paleatus)

Picture
The peppered corydoras is one of the most popular corydoras species in the aquarium trade. It has a beige body with varying dark patches to create a banded or sometimes spotty appearance. They make good fish for a community aquarium and like most other corydoras, should be kept in groups. They get a little larger than some species of corydoras but they still remain relativly small. These fish are quite hardy and were one of the first captive bred tropical fish to reach the aquarium trade in 1878.
