(Iriatherina Werneri)

Picture
The threadfin rainbowfish is a small, popular rainbowfish for it's looks. Their body's are silver or blue with red edging on the tails. The males have elongated dorsal and anal fins with red bellies. They will do best in a small shoal in a planted community aquarium. They should not be kept with fin nippers such as tiger barbs as their fins may be nipped. They can be spawned in an aquarium with fine leaved plants. They prefer live foods to commercially prepared foods.
